About the Provider

Dr. Tia Layton is a doctorate prepared, dual certified Family-Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She provides psychotherapy and psychopharmacology (medication management) services across the lifespan.

 

Her background includes community mental health, private practice outpatient psychiatry, and inpatient psychiatry. Her goal is to be ethical, empathetic, and respectful in providing individualized patient care. She believes in using an integrative mental health model that honors everyone in their entirety. It embraces mental, emotional, spiritual, physical, environmental, and social forces that all have an impact on mental health and well-being.

 

She is an advocate for physical and mental health prevention and promotion. After your consultation, your initial visit with her will focus on establishing a therapeutic relationship where you discuss areas of concern, past/present social, medical, and mental history.
